The Cleveland Rowing Foundation has launched a Corporate Rowing
League that allows local companies to enjoy an 6-week fitness

Sculling Our Sculling Boathouse Fire on August 12, 2005 destroyed our sculling fleet and equipment used for learn to scull classes. If you are a novice sculler, please contact us in Spring 2006 regarding our program offerings once we partially rebuild our fleet and storage facilities. Experienced scullers moving to Cleveland who plan to bring equipment into our facility, please contact Doug Carlson.
Visually Impaired Rowing
In partnership with the Cleveland Sight Center, the Cleveland Rowing Foundation launched a visually-impaired rowing program in 2002. Rowing, oftentimes practiced with eyes closed, is unique in that every rower sits backwards. Whether sighted or not, a rower never sees where the shell is going and she or he depends as much on sound and feel as they do on sight. A coxswain or a sighted bowman rowing with our visually impaired rowers makes certain the shell is safe and on course.
