As we approach a new season of rowing on the Cuyahoga, please be aware of the following three requirements to re-qualify your coaching safety certification with CRF in 2016.
Requirements for Coaches:
1) You must attend a safety briefing. CRF will be hosting its annual safety re-certification briefings on the following dates and times:
Saturday, February 20 – 9:00 a.m.
Wednesday, February 24 – 7:00 p.m.
Thursday, February 25 – 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, February 27 – 9:00 a.m.
Sunday, February 28 – 9:00 a.m.
For anyone who is unable to attend (due to being out of the area during all scheduled meetings), additional meetings will be scheduled later in the spring.
2) A valid CPR certification must be on file with CRF: your card can be scanned and sent here or brought to a safety re-certification briefing for scan.
3) A valid ODNR Boater Education certificate/card must be on file with CRF (if born after 1/1/1982): please provide your birth date, and if applicable, your temporary certificate or card. This can be scanned and sent here or brought to a safety re-certification briefing for scan.
Note: The safety status of coaches who attend a safety re-certification briefing but do not provide CPR and ODNR Boater’s Safety card/certificate (if applicable) will be considered suspended until documentation is provided.
