Charity Poker Festival

Cleveland Rowing Foundation is scheduled to run the Nautica Charity Poker Festival on  Monday April 23 through Wednesday April 25 from 3:30pm to midnight in 2012.

Charity Poker is located at 2249 Elm Street next to McCarthy’s.

The event is fun and one of the most profitable fundraiser's we can hold gaining between $12,000 and $15,000! The more volunteers, the more tables open, the more money we make!

The funds from this event will purchase new ergs.  The new ergs will be purchased within the 2012 year. This benefits EVERY ROWER!

Volunteer shifts:
3:30pm to 7pm, 6:30pm to 10pm, and 9:30pm to 12:30am.
There are over 228 shifts to fill!

All rowers, programs and member organizations are asked to support this event.  Groups are requested to fill the following # of shifts: WRRA 125, Shaker 11, CSRA 14, JCU 9, CASE 14, CSU 7, SIHS 36, SJA 11, and Hawken 1

Dealers and general volunteers are needed.  All New dealers must have attended training in the past or can attend a brief 30 minute training session on April 16th at 6:30pm.  General volunteers will have an overlapping shift so they can train their replacement.

AS A VOLUNTEER, WHAT WOULD I BE DOING?
Dealer: Deal cards, that simple!  No prior card dealing experience is necessary. A dealer's main task is to pass out cards—Everyone gets the same number of cards each time. (Texas Hold em is a rather easy game). Dealers do not collect money (only chips), do not bet, and do not settle disputes (festival staff do that). Automatic shufflers are used, so that’s easy, too.

General Volunteer:    We do need additional volunteers to assist players with getting chips, escorting new players and more.

Anyone who can volunteer, please send an email to Theresa at clevelandrowing@gmail.com or call 216-308-4183 or sign up directly

All volunteers must be 18, have not convition of felony or gambling offense and must agree to not receive any payment for their volunteer time which is stated on the affidavit.
