As Director of Development, Sarah has helped to raise over $500,000 in the past two years for Cleveland Rowing Foundation from foundations, corporations and individuals. She created and ran the Rivergate BASH fundraiser of July 2011 and the Rivergate Ribbon-Cutting of May 2011. Sarah has run the VIP Tent at the HOTC for the past two years.

In Sarah’s prior working life, she worked in at a regional investment bank in Chicago in corporate finance on financings and m&a for small to mid-size companies including the sale of London House to Maxwell Communications and an average of $60 million in public equity offerings per year.
Rowing Background
Sarah learned to row at Yale University where she was a member of the Varsity squad from 1978 to 1981. Sarah was a member of the Lincoln Park Boat Club in Chicago from 1983 -1990 where she was Head of Women’s Rowing and chaired the Lincoln Park Boat Club Regatta in 1986. Sarah has also paddled around a bit on the Cuyahoga.
Community Involvement
Sarah has served on numerous Boards including The Nature Center at Shaker Lakes, Laurel School Alumni Board, The Recreation League of Cleveland and Yale Alumni Association of Cleveland where she was in charge of Programs and Alumni Interviewing. Sarah has been Treasurer of 6 different non-profit organizations in Cleveland. Sarah ran her first benefit in 1992, the Yale Ball, which attracted over 350 people. She has assisted with benefits at the Cleveland Zoo, The Nature Center at Shaker Lakes, Shaker Schools Foundation, among many others.
Sarah has three children including her daughter, Emily, who rows for Shaker Crew.
