Professional Background:
Sharon is a computer process automation engineer at Arcelor Mittal Steel.
Rowing Background:
Sharon started her rowing career at West Virginia University, in 1978. After moving to Cleveland in 1993, she started rowing again at Western Reserve Rowing Association SRL program, then joined the Competitive Masters team in 1998. Sharon is an avid competitor and has earned numerous Gold Metal wins in her single and in team events at many of the major National and International rowing competitions, including FISA World Masters, US Masters Nationals, the Head of the Charles, and the Royal Canadian Henely Regatta.
Sharon has held many board and committee positions in WRRA and CRF including: WRRA President, WRRA Treasurer, WRRA Away Regatta Chairperson, WRRA Masters Team Captain, and CRF Safety Committee member.
Sharon coached Shaker High School Women’s program between 2002 and 2010. Sharon has successfully coached a Shaker Heights double to a 2nd place finish in the 2008 Jr. Scholastic Nationals, the crew also finished 4th in 2009. Sharon continues to coach High School scullers in Cleveland.
