The Youth Program this past summer broke even.

Peter Gozar reported the newsletter is complete. It is being printed and will be and mailed out next week Dec. 4th.

They will take the newsletter and turn it into a webpage. A special thanks goes out to Peter and all contributors for finally taking the initiative and publishing something long overdue!!!!

Dave and Tim Marcovy met with river officials to try and pin down a date for next year. The river will not be officially closed , but we will get river courtesy meaning no traffic during the regatta like this year.

  1. Reports from Member Organizations

They had their annual election of officers. Sheila Jennings is President, Gayle Fidel is Vice President, and Kate Monroe is Treasurer.

They had 36 girls rowing this year and they rowed at the Speakmon. They anticipate having between 40-50 rowers in the spring.

The Midwest Scholastic Rowing Association recently voted to kick out all clubs. This means no clubs with students from different school are allowed to participate. So the number of regattas they will participate in next year are very much up in the air. They will be looking for help from other clubs on how to compete competitively next year.

They have volunteer winter conditioning. They had an eight compete at the Head of the Charles. They also will participate at the Hammer.

The Hammer this year is at John Carroll, 2-17-2001. Details are in the newsletter and posted on the WRRA web site. The annual WRRF meeting will be held at John Carroll Saturday January 20th. Details will be mailed out with the minutes.

They are in winter conditioning. They have two new coaches. They also participated in the Speakmon.

They are in winter conditioning. They also will be at the Hammer. A lot of novices stuck around so their program is in good shape for the spring.

Dan was instructed to get more specifics on costs, credit hours etc. etc. and be prepared to report formally back to the Foundation at the Annual Mtg. in January.
