Rowbics - Indoor Rowing

Rowbics Classes currently on Hold

Rowbics classes are temporarily on hold as we complete our transition to Rivergate Park.   Rowbics classes will be announced to our database when they resume.  If you would like to be notified, please create an account at CRF's registration site.  We appreciate your support during this transition.

What is Rowbics?
Rowbics™ combines the best of rowing, the highest aerobic fitness standards and advanced interactive technology to deliver our QuadCore Conditioning™ system, a completely balanced series of isometric and traditional rowing movements that strengthen your body’s four major systems: core, legs, upper body, heart & lungs.  Your upper- and lower-abdominal and back muscles are engaged throughout each stroke and the entire Rowbics™ routine. The rowing stroke uses your major leg muscles, including the calves, thighs, hamstrings, buttocks and hips, to control the power and speed of the stroke. When pulling the handle in to “Finish” the stroke, you’re strengthening and toning the shoulders, back and arms. Your cardiovascular system gets stronger and healthier as your body works to deliver oxygen to the wide range of muscles used in the rowing stroke. For more information, visit www.Rowbics.com
Rowing burns more calories per hour than almost any other sport including running, biking and swimming. You do not have to know how to row or be a CRF member to attend Rowbics!!

What do Participants Say?
Rowbics is a fantastic workout (no water or previous experience required!) and so much fun that I signed up for Summer Rowing League (SRL). The technique learned in Rowbics from the knowledgeable instructors put me oars ahead on the water!”
 - Dawn Richardson

I thought it was going to be hard core rowing the whole time but it was a really fun mix of rowing at low to high rates with great strengthening exercises off the erg in between.  – Carrie L’Esperance
